Samuel Poulin, MP for Beauce-Sud, supports a $2.1 billion investment plan that includes $252 million for the wood processing sector and reforestation, aiming to protect forestry jobs amid U.S. economic uncertainty. The government will also index personal income tax and social assistance benefits to inflation, providing $1.2 billion in annual tax relief starting January 1, 2025. Additionally, $208 million will be allocated to increase access to affordable housing, while the age for the career extension tax credit will rise from 60 to 65, saving $800 million over four years.
